Oooh. This, I like this. It really shows the potential contrast and conflict between Luna and Nightmare Moon. In my head-canon, Luna is struggling inwardly with the existence of NMM, and is constantly fighting her evil impulses. And this shows that off beautifully. Now I really want them to make an episode with that concept. Discord and Chrysalis were cool and all, and King Sombra was... well... I won't even go there *shudder*. But I think there could be so much more with the whole Luna/Nightmare Moon thing. Yes, there was Nightmare Night, but even so...
thank you very much!!! its my favorite wallpaper i have made so far. and yea that's what i was trying to go for! even though we got more of luna in nightmare night i still feel like luna is struggling with her inner demons(aka nightmare moon). so i just felt like i had to make something that represented the struggles she has to go through. and yea king sombra...... yeeeeaaaa. i feel like they could have done a lot more with him either that or i really really hope that they have another special where he comes back and we actually get to learn more about him because i feel like he has potential to be a really good villain
He really does, and it's simply for the fact that they have literally done nothing with him (as far as I'm concerned). When I first watched the show, I was blown away with the villains NMM, Discord, and even Chrysalis. I felt that they were far more developed than I anticipated (since at the time I believed MLP: FIM to be strictly 7-year-old girl [not any more!]). The show is simply more intelligent than that. And yeah. I really hope the last two episodes touch back on King Sombra; either that or more stuff on Chrysalis, Discord, or NMM.
Speaking of Discord, I was only mildly impressed with his reform episode (Keep Calm and Flutter On). Thoughts?
well i mean... it thought it was good for the short time they had. i would have love to see him escape and we get to see a villain alliance between him and chrysalis and those two go free king sombra then reek havoc..... but then again there was only like a .000000001% chance of having that probably hahaha. back to the episode though. i thought it was overall good. we got to see a bit of every character and since discord couldnt create havoc i thought his small chaos spells were enjoyable and fun. one thing that has me puzzled though is if twilight had a reformation spell in a book to begin with why didnt they wait till her/ or most likely spike get then book with he spell then as soon as she gets the book release discord then use the spell on him. so there were a few plot holes in my opinion but they couldnt have a story if doscord was reformed right in the start. like i said before since they only had 22 min to reform discord (even less than 22 min because he wasnt freed right from the start) it felt rushed but there wasnt much they could do about it with out making it a multiple episode special, which since they only have 3 left and only have a 1 part finale i could see why they had to rush his reformation. overall i would give keep clam and flutter on a 8/10 the thing i really want to see now though is since they have discords magic what in the world does celestia plan on doing with it
Trolling, no doubt. Maybe she wants to grow bananas on the moon!
Yeah, for those same reasons I would score KC&FO even less (7/10). If something like that was going to feel rushed, I would have made it the season finale, or not even done that episode without sufficient time. In my book, if it's not the best that it can be, there isn't a point in making it at all. But that's just me. It was an OK episode, not a terrible one. I felt it could have been better. IMHO, short time limit isn't much of an excuse. But I'm hard like that... so... meh.
Yeah. I just don't believe that NMM is gone after one blast of the elements when the first one didn't do anything to change Luna's predicament. I believe, like Jekyll with Hyde, that even if Luna isn't NMM she's still there talking to her and living within her. And of course the confrontation between Jekyll and Hyde in the musical really feels like something that Luna and NMM could go through behind closed doors.
